This specification covers requirements for schedule 40 and 80 CPVC pressure pipe as described in ASTM F-441. CPVC is used of type 4, grade 1 compound as stated in ASTM D-1784. A complete line of pipe is stocked to meet your needs. Standard pipe lengths are 20 ft but can be purchased in lths of 5' intervals. Both standard (schedule 40) and extra heavy weight (schedule 80) pipes are available. Schedule 80 can be used with threaded and socket joints; schedule 40 is not recommended for threading. Socket joints are assembled with solvent pipe cement. For threaded joints use Teflon® tape. This CPVC material has comparable corrosion resistance to PVC pipe yet it is suitable for handling corrosive material at temps 40 to 60° F higher than PVC. It is lightweight, easy to assemble and install. Job-site erection of a leakproof joint can be made in only a minute with solvent cement, or by threading. Lths can be cut quickly and easily with a saw. NSF listed, not UV stabilized. 1/4" - 4" are priced per foot, sold in 5' intervals only. 8" - 16" sold in 10' lenghts only, priced per foot..10' is too long to ship UPS.
